Is this trade
worth it?
Trade compares both teams’ best lineups before and after a trade, week by week, for the rest of the season, and gives a verdict for each side.
Open TradeHow to use it
- Open your league and choose the trade partner.
- Select the players you give and the players you get. Multi-player trades are fine.
- Read the verdict, then the week-by-week table and each player’s total over the period.
Lineups, not player totals
Trading two good players for one great one can make you better or worse, depending on who fills the hole. First Down doesn’t add up player points. For every week, from the selected week to the last week of your league’s playoffs, it solves the best lineup for both teams with the current rosters and again with the traded rosters. It uses your league’s scoring and the same exact solver as the Lineup tool.
Byes are handled per week. A player who is out injured right now only counts as 0 in the first week, because later weeks use the normal projections.
Reading the verdict
The verdict compares each team’s average weekly change in best-lineup points with a threshold of half a point:
- Win–win: both lineups gain at least 0.5 points a week.
- You win this trade: you gain at least 0.5, your partner doesn’t.
- Your partner wins: you lose at least 0.5, your partner doesn’t.
- Both lineups get worse: you both lose at least 0.5.
- Roughly even for you: your weekly change is under half a point either way.
If the trade leaves either roster over its size limit, a note tells you how many players would have to be dropped.
What it can’t see
Projections don’t know about future injuries, and the tool doesn’t value draft picks or players beyond this season. In dynasty leagues, treat the verdict as the this season half of the decision.
